This is an exceptionally large and lovely angora goatskin.
This skin is alum tanned for a nice, supple finish, has excellent color, very long hair (4" to 5") with good curl. These are very hard to come by and are available in limited quantities only.
The coloring and pattern is natural. No dyes were used.
Mohair grows continuously. Goats are shorn bi-annually to prevent the animal stepping on its own fleece.
Angora goats are not endangered. The skins are a by-product of the food industry. The animals were not killed just for their skins. There are no export controls on this item.
This hide was imported before Russia invaded Ukraine. We no longer buy from Russia.
Do not dry clean the skins as the dry cleaning process will remove the natural oils from the skin. For cleaning Instructions and Eucalan™ Wool Wash, please click
