Sheep leather has two layers to it and is much easier to sew than deerskin or most other leathers as the needle goes through the hide much easier. Sheep are not an endangered species. The leather is a by-product of the food industry.

This is 3 oz. horse butt leather that is polished with no coating. Each hide is marked with its total square footage. They range in size from 1.75 to 5.25 sq. ft. We can usually select either smaller or larger pieces according to your wishes. We will not, however, cut hides to specific dimensions.
