This listing is for one box of 10 pieces of Dentalium vernedei shell. We have hand sorted these in New York and kicked out bad pieces. They are packed in box to protect the pieces, but please note that one or two shells may break in transit.
The pieces are a mix of shells with most around 2.25". There may be a few longer than this, but it is not common. We do not do further sorting or grading. Please note that most shells will be 2.25" with some possibly a tad bit shorter by accident and some, but not many, longer than 2.25". Very few will be a full 2.50". We just use this range as our cut off to the next size, which is almost nonexistent.
The shells are smooth. Each box of 10 weighs about 10 grams.
A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.
