The kit fox skins were purchased from the North American Fur Auction when they went bankrupt and were a bit on the old side. The tanning is okay, but not as soft and supple as we normally see. We have paid to have them tumbled professionally and the fur is clean and lovely, but the hide side is a bit crinkly and not a nice as we like for garment quality, but they are perfect for crafts or resale.

The kit fox is a fox species that inhabits arid and semi-arid regions of the southwestern United States and northern and central Mexico. These foxes are the smallest of the four species of Vulpes occurring in North America and are among the smallest of the vulpines worldwide. (Source: Wikipedia)
These are NOT the endangered San Joaquin kit fox subspecies (Vulpes macrotis mutica) from the San Joaquin Valley and through much of Central California.
A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.
