John AUGUST
John is a member of the Squamish First Nation from British Columbia.
Matthew BAKER
Matthew is a member of the Squamish First Nation from British Columbia. He was born on the Capilino Reservation in North Vancouver, BC. His mother is Kwakiutl and his father is Coast Salish. Matthew was taught by his father, Richard, a master totem carver. He has been carving for 25 years, and has a studio on the Sechelt Reserve on the Sunshine Coast British Columbia where he lives with his wife, Doreen, and three children. Matthew carves plaques, masks, rattles and totem poles in traditional Coast Salish and Kwakiutl images.
Troy BAKER
Troy is a member of the Coast Salish Nation, Squamish tribe. He lives on the Capilano Reservation in North Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2007, he was 25 years old. He was taught by his father, Richard Baker. He carves traditional Coast Salish wall plaques.
Josh GEORGE
Josh is from the Coast Salish Nation and is a member of the Burrard Tribe on the Burrard Reservation in North Vancouver, British Columbia. He was born in ~1975 and is self-taught. He carves Coast Salish wall plaques and totems.
Les HARPER
Les is from the Carrier Nation in Prince George, British Columbia. He was born in ~1975 and was taught to carve by his uncle, Doug Harper. He is currently living in Chilliwack, BC. Les carves Kwakiutl-style plaques, which is common to the northern part of Vancouver Island.
Darcy JOSEPH
Darcy is a member of the Coast Salish Nation, Squamish Tribe in British Columbia. He lives on the Capilino Reservation in North Vancouver, BC. He was born in ~1952. Darcy, Delmar, and Chief Floyd Joseph are brothers. His plaques are nice, clean work. He likes to make two piece plaques.
Delmar JOSEPH
Delmar is a member of the Coast Salish Nation, Squamish Tribe. He lives in Squamish, British Columbia. In 2007, he was about 50 years old. He was taught how to carve by his late father Chief Larry Joseph but he mostly learned on his own by watching his dad and uncles. Darcy, Delmar, and Chief Floyd Joseph are brothers. He carves totem poles, boxes, and wall plaques.
Richard KRAWCHUK
Richard is from the Coast Salish Nation, Squamish tribe. He was born in ~1955 and was taught by master carver Floyd Joseph. He carves Coast Salish wall plaques and totems.
David LOUIS
David is a member of the Coast Salish First Nation and part of the Musqueam Tribe. He lives on the Musqueam Reservation on the Fraser River on the southwest edge of Vancouver, BC. He was born in ~1965 and carves Coast Salish masks, totems, and plaques.
George MATILPI
George is a member of the Kwakiutl Nation and lives on the Island of Alert Bay located off the northeast tip of Vancouver Island. George was born in ~1950 and carves Kwakiutl wall plaques.
Cody is a member of the Coast Salish Nation, Squamish tribe and lives on the Capilino Reservation. He was born in ~1955 and carves Coast Salish masks totems and wall plaques.
Delbert PETER
Delbert is a member of the Coast Salish Nation, Penelakut tribe and lives on Penelakut (formerly Kuper) Island, off the east coast of Vancouver Island. Delbert carves traditional Coast Salish carvings.
