The skunks were legally harvested in the wild (mostly in the U.S.) and purchased from fur auctions in Canada. They were then sent to Europe for high-quality garment tanning. The tanning is the nicest we have ever seen on a skunk. These are some of the largest skunk skins available in the market. Most were bought from 4XL and 3XL lots. The tannery owner even complained because they were far bigger than he expected.
Striped skunks are not an endangered species.
A U.S. Fish & Wildlife export permit is needed for all shipments outside of the U.S.
