These Pacific spiny oyster shells are sold by the shell. The #1 shells have nicer color on the tops of the shells and are on average bigger than the #2 shells.
The red orange #2 shells are approximately 4" to 4.5" long and 4" to 6" wide. Each shell weighs approximately 0.4 to 1.1 pounds.
This species is not endangered. The shells are a by-product of the food industry and come from sustainable fisheries.
A U.S. Fish & Wildlife export permit is required for all exports outside of the U.S.
