The kit fox skins were purchased from the North American Fur Auction when they went bankrupt and were a bit on the old side. The tanning is okay, but not as soft and supple as we normally see. We have paid to have them tumbled professionally and the fur is clean and lovely, but the hide side is a bit crinkly and not a nice as we like for garment quality, but they are perfect for crafts or resale. The skins we offer come from lambs that did not survive the harsh spring weather. These casualties of nature are processed in New Zealand to produce one of the world’s softest and lightest double-face leathers.
