The synthetic black horse hair is made from plastic.  It is sold as loose hair in 0.5 pound (8 ounce) bags.  This is NOT real horse hair. We call this blackish because the hair is not a pure black color. It has some brown and lighter colored hair mixed in.

The synthetic whitish horse hair is made from plastic.  It is sold as loose hair in 0.5 pound (8 ounce) bags.  This is NOT real horse hair.We call this whitish because the hair is not a pure white color.  It is more like dirty blonde with a bit of black mixed in.

These synthetic raccoon tails are available in one size at this time. They are NOT real tails. The tails are approximately 11" to 11.5" long, 2.5" wide, and weigh 0.5 oz. each. We also have real raccoon tails.There are no export controls for this item.

The tanned buffalo tails range in length from 10" to 20". The tanned buffalo tails are a little softer and more flexible than dried buffalo tails.Buffalo are ranch raised in the U.S. or Canada and are not an endangered species. A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.

We get a limited number of tanned cow tails each year from Hungary. These are nice, full tails that are professionally tanned. They are clean and nice to work with for a variety of craft purposes. The tanned cow tails are a little softer and more flexible than the dried cow tails. The tanned tails average 20" to 40" long overall. The leather is 20" to 30" long. The tails are 3" to 7" wide at the top. Cow are not endangered. The cows were not killed just for their tails. ...
