Scallop Shells

These scallop shells can be used as serving dishes for seafood or for craft use. They will have to be cleaned before they can be used to serve food. They come in assorted sizes. The lion's paw scallop shells are sold by the half shell. They do not come in pairs. The natural shells are approximately 5" to 7" long and 5" to 6.5" wide. Each half shell weighs approximately 0.32 to 0.52 pounds each.

The Atlantic sea scallops are native to the western Atlantic Ocean. The shells have been shucked and cleaned in cold water. We measured three shells at random and they were approximately 4.75" by 5", 5" by 5.25", and 5.25" by 5.25".
