This is a commercial brain-tanned moose leather HALF hide. This quality moose leather half hide was tanned using a method that emulates the traditional brain-tanning process. It has a smoky smell and is supple. This item is NOT Indian Made and does not use real brains. This is a whole hide with some holes, blemishes, and scratches on the leather. Most of these imperfections are near the side of the skin. The 1/8" lacing is approximately 1.5 mm to 2 mm (0.06" to 0.08") thick. The lacing on each roll is continuous - i.e., they are spliced in the factory to produce a continuous length.
