Our Stingray leather is used in knife and gun upholstery for decorative purposes. This leather has a unique rough texture (unlike any other leather) with a very soft suede side. The beautiful white diamond at the center of the skin is the most attractive feature of this unique leather. And yes, you can feel the distinctive shape and texture of the diamond with closed eyes!
The Small Stingray Leather averages around 15" to 17" long (including the tail, if any) and 7" to 8" wide. The skins' thickness range between 3 to 4 oz. at the ends, and 4 to 5 oz. at the center. The eye is around 2" long.
One measured 17.25" long by 6.5" wide and weighed 0.18 pounds.
This species of stingray is not an endangered species and is not subject to CITES.
A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.
