Black bear around the world are considered to be a threatened species. The trade in products from these animals is regulated to ensure that the bears do not face extinction. Black bear are no longer found in some areas, but are quite plentiful in Canada. In fact, according to the Globe & Mail, more than 100,000 black bears are thought to live in the Canadian province of Ontario alone. All of our black bear products have been legally acquired. Most of the bear skins and claws come from legal hunting or culling programs.

Black bears are covered by CITES and are NOT FOR EXPORT OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES.

Sales of Bear Products by State
    State Regulations

Black Bear (& Other Bear) Products

To the best of our knowledge, here is what we can and cannot sell in the following states and territories. The words "OK to sell" refers to our being able to ship the item to a buyer in the state. There may be more restrictive regulations prohibiting the re-sale of the bear in the state by the buyer (i.e., you may be able to buy this for your den, but not able to sell it to someone else through your business). Please contact your department of natural resources enforcement department before offering these hides for sale in your state. We will not ship to states where we believe that it is illegal for us to do so. Please see our selection of realistic black bear products as an alternative to real bear parts.

Please note that you are responsible to ensure that you can legally possess any wildlife products that you buy from us.

We accept no liability whatsoever for the accuracy of this information. This webpage is a ready reference document for our internal use only. If any errors are found in this list, we would appreciate hearing from you so we can verify the information and update it accordingly.

We do not address hunting regulations in each state or the sale or raw or untreated hides, skins, or pelts.

    Thank you.
