The river cooter turtle is a freshwater turtle native to the central and eastern United States. We measured a skull to be 2" long, 1.5" wide, weighing 5 grams. The upper and lower jaws may be separate or glued together.
River cooter turtles are not an endangered species.
No export to the European Union due to their laws.
A USFWS export permit is required for all exports outside of the U.S.
