The Australian sheepskins are soft and luxurious and the skin is clean and supple. The skins average around 7 to 10 square feet and are ideal for lining, car seat covers and upholstery. Each sheepskin is shaped differently. One measured 42" long and 30.5" wide down the middle and weighed 2.76 pounds.
We have a limited supply of 0.5" white shearling.
We do not recommend using this shearling for double-face garments, e.g. a sheepskin jacket where the outside is a nice tan and the inside is a nice fluffy sheepskin. We recommend using our Icelandic sheepskin shearling for double-face garments.
The sheepskins are a by-product of the food industry. The sheep were not killed just for their skin. The skins have been chrome-tanned.
No export paperwork is required for shipments outside of the United States.
