The horse tail whisk, or fu chen, is a martial artist tool used by Taoists. In China, these whisks are also used as wall decoration to ward off evil.
These whisks are made from real horse tail hair. They come in various natural colors. The whisks have a carved wooden handle and stiff crocheted net at the base. The horse tail is tied with a nylon thread to the bottom of the handle. One white tail whisk measures 16" long from the top to where the hair attaches, and 3.25" wide.
Horses are not an endangered species. The horses were not killed just for their hair.
Horses are not subject to CITES or USFWS controls.
