This is a tanned white-tailed, or whitetail, deer skin. It has a reddish-brown coat in the spring and summer that turns to gray-brown in the fall and winter. This deer has a distinctive white underside to its tail.
This hide has a reddish brown coloring. The hide has two holes near the bottom and one hole in the neck area. This hide has missing hair on the side near the top. The backside has three holes and some rough spots, but is flexible.
Please note that deer have a hollow hair and are not ideal for rugs. If you walk on them or let a large dog sit on them, the hair will break and shed over time. They are ideal for wall mountings, floor displays that are not walked on, etc.
White tail deer are not endangered and are not subject to CITES.
A U.S. Fish & Wildlife export permit is required for all shipments outside the U.S.
