This is a bleached #1 grade deer rawhide. It is prepared in a light parchment color (i.e., like pale honey) using a hydrogen peroxide treatment. Its sound and strength is the same as the unbleached, but the unbleached rawhide is more malleable when wet.

White tail deer rawhide is a bit thinner than red deer rawhide, but are more similar to each other in thickness than they are to elk rawhide.
Rawhide is also referred to as parchment or vellum.
White tail deer are not an endangered species. Not subject to CITES.
A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.
