This is a prairie 2.5 to 3 oz. gold reverse deer leather piece.
Reverse leather is bad grain (lots of damage, stains, on the hide side, etc.), with a good suede side. This is caused by poor salting/preservation of the hide or letting it sit too long before tanning.
