Animal Hair

The synthetic whitish horse hair is made from plastic.  It is sold as loose hair in 0.5 pound (8 ounce) bags.  This is NOT real horse hair.We call this whitish because the hair is not a pure white color.  It is more like dirty blonde with a bit of black mixed in.

The North American porcupine quills in 1 oz bags (28 grams) have been dried. The quills are approximately 1.5" to 2.25" long.North American porcupines are not endangered.A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.

These are 5 gram (0.18 ounce) hanks of 35" horse hair. This hair is specially selected for making violin bows. Please note that each hank is supposed to be 6 grams but we are selling them as 5 grams per pack in case the hanks are underweight. Consider it a bonus if you receive more than 5 grams. Horses are not an endangered species. The horses were not killed just for their hair. Horses are not subject to CITES or USFWS controls.

This is white washed yak hair from China. All of the yak hair come from farmed yak. The yak hair is sold by the kilogram (1 kilogram = 2.2 pounds).
