They come rolled up. The Full hides average 35-40 square feet. The Thick rawhides are 1.6-3.2 mm thick (4-7 oz.). However, the thickness does vary from disc to disc so if you need a particular thickness for your rawhide, please check with us beforehand. This is bleached #1 grade deer rawhide. They are prepared in a light parchment color (i.e., like pale honey) using a hydrogen peroxide treatment. Its sound and strength is the same as the unbleached, but the unbleached rawhide is more malleable when wet. You will be able to cut two 18-inch drum circles from one bleached #1 rawhide. There may be holes and other defects on the hide but they should not interfere with the drum circles. The hides run from 45" to 50" in length and 25" to 30" in...
